Flippers Dolphin Tours

We drove 1 1/2 hours from Port St. Joe for the guided Jet Ski Dolphin tour. The check-in process was very quick and smooth. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. They have some smaller, but very clean bathrooms onsite and were building a new larger building when we visited August 2023. Ethan was our guide and did a phenomenal job, he worked with the riders that needed help but was still able to make it exciting and fast paced for everyone else. We only saw 2 dolphins one time as we headed out and that was it so if you are looking for a dolphin experience you may or may not get lucky. The website lists Sand Dollar and Starfish find, but we didn't do either of those. Shell island was now what we expected. We walked across the boardwalk to the gulf side, which takes 5-6 minutes unless you don't wear shoes, then it goes quicker as you run to try not to burn your feet. Ethan did warn everyone about wearing shoes and offered to take pictures of our groups. Shell island itself was pretty shell-less, there are smaller one inch shells like you can find at almost every beach, so if you want to find bigger shells this isn't the tour for you. If you are looking for a fast-paced guided jet ski ride, it was great and that's why I gave it five stars. If what they list on their website, dolphins, sand dollars, starfish and shells are important then I would only give this 3 stars and would not recommend it.

I did a lot of looking through these tours. We are in PCB for vacation and wanted to find the right tour for the best value. Came across Flippers and read reviews as well as checking pricing. Pulled the trigger based on small group size, price and reviews. Check in was quick and easy and Capt. Jon escorted us to our boat. My daughter really wanted to see dolphins but our first few locations didn't work out, but we pushed forward on the tour and the snorkeling was amazing. Capt. Jon made sure we had a great experience and guided us to shell island for another quick snorkel stop and a walk to the Gulf side of the island. We were the only people there and it was amazing. We headed back to the boat and Capt. Jon really gave his all to make sure we had a great experience by pushing our time limit to the max and taking a little extra trip in the lagoon to try to see the dolphins. He was right on the money and we did get to see them. It was well worthwhile and we can't thank Capt. Jon enough for making this a great outing!

Captain Stan was excellent, knowledgeable, and very friendly! He did everything possible to get us in the water with the dolphins. Plus got to see jellyfish, and crabs. Was well worth it and will definitely come back. We also found lots of beautiful shells on Shell Island. Beautiful clear water and the weather was awesome!

We had another AWESOME tour with Caption Stan!!! Got to swim with a Whale Shark (bucket list, check), dolphins, hold jellyfish (cannonball jelly's are cool), saw sea turtles, hunted for shells on Shell Island, etc.... Can't go wrong with Capt. Stan extremely knowledgeable of the area, polite and respectful. He does all he can possibly do to get your bucket list checked. But remember nature has the final say. Thanks again Capt. Stan for an action packed, breath taking adventure!!!!

We ventured out for a 3 hour tour with Captain Jacob today. He was exceptionally friendly and accommodating to all of our requests. He was also fantastic with my little one and it was so nice to have an extra set of eyes on him when we’re all enjoying the water. My best advice is to go with the flow and see what you can see! We had an absolute blast. We saw (and swam with) a pair of friendly dolphins but there is so much more to see with 3 hours. (Sea urchin, sand dollars, Angel fish, sand sharks, sea turtles, snapper, etc.) This is our third year in a row booking with Flippers and each captain brings a unique perspective and experience. I can’t say enough great things about them. Thanks for the adventure, Captain Jacob!

This tour was our favorite part of our Florida vacation. Being from Iowa we don’t see dolphins very often. Our tour guide Christo was awesome and we were able to swim with a dolphin, snorkel and swim around shell island. We recommend tapping the water to get the dolphins attention… the wild dolphin we saw was more interested in hanging out with us for awhile as he stayed and swam around us for awhile and were within arms length from him. We also recommend taking some cash to tip the captain! 😉
